Description

It is time for “THE TALK”.  As much as Black Parents in America & Abroad wish that they could shelter their kids from the harsh realities of prejudice, stereotyping, RACISM & POLICE BRUTALITY, it is not feasible! The horrifying murder of children such as Travon Martin, Tamir Rice, Aiyana Stanley-Jones as well as adults like George Floyd and Breonna Taylor have proven that children & adults no matter how young or old are always in danger of the Hate that is disguised as police and court authority in America.  This horrid cancer of American Racism, Police Brutality and Militarized Police forces all are a constant danger the future of our children and adults nation wide.  THE TALK is not an insurance policy that guarantees a financial benefit to the policy holder, but it is the closest thing to it!  Black Parents must take the time to awaken our children to life’s challenges and prepare them for potential police encounters.  Because many of these encounters have proven to be murderous in the past, we must educate our children to understand the racial bias of police officers, police departments and the American Court System.  This education is the first step to encouraging our children that despite the obstacles that other races constantly place in the path of innocent black people, that there are an abundance of different avenues that lead to hope for a brighter future.

Based on a collection of real events, this fictional story depicts a family’s candid discussion of these pertinent issues in a way that is raw and powerful, yet still loving and uplifting!
